Vulva or vagina?

Final guide to the differences between vulva and vagina: why do we confuse them so often?

The difference between vulva and vagina is essential, but for too long it has been ignored for a sort of "comfort" or habit. Using the term vagina indifferently to describe the whole female anatomical part has always been a custom, but it is obvious that they are not the same and, with the intention of clarifying and educating on sexuality and body, in this article we will analyze for well their differences.

Meanwhile, first of all, the vulva is the complex of the female external genital organs which, in addition to the external opening of the vagina, houses the meat of the urethra, the clitoris and some small glands, all delimited by the vulvar lips.

On the contrary, the vagina is the internal elastic muscle channel that extends from the neck of the uterus to the vestibule and acts as a female organ of mating, it is a component of the childbirth channel and is used to expel menstrual blood. But, within these two "macro parts" there are many other "micro parts" which, as a whole, constitute the vulva and the vagina and which we will discover together.

What parts is the vulva of and how is it done?
Over the years, distorted representations and beauty standards have also influenced the anatomy of the female genitals, creating unfounded ideas on how they should be. However, each vulva is different, unique: as we like to say to us, there are no two equal ones.

And they do not remain the same.

In fact, we must not forget that its appearance changes in the various phases of life, from puberty to menopause, and all this depends on hormonal levels.

The Mount of Venus: formed by adipose tissue from which the hair grow, it is also called Monte del Pube and is located just above the vulva; It covers the pubic bone and dominates the large lips and is delimited by the folds of the groin.
The big lips: they start from the Monte di Venus and join the perineum, a couple of centimeters from the anus, forming the vulvar fork. The function of the large lips is to protect the underlying structures, such as small lips and are equipped with sweat and sebaceous glands, as well as nerve endings and blood vessels. During the sexual excitement phase, large lips tend to inflate themselves for the increased blood flow and separate, making the small lips more evident, which increase in size and accentuate their coloring.
Little lips They are located internally to the large lips, they are pink, humid and free of hair and their conformation varies in a significant way: they can in fact be different, asymmetrical and of different sizes. Unlike large lips, the small lips do not join, but they thin on the posteriorly and slowly disappear in the inside of the large lips.
• The clitoral glans, that is, the only part of the clitoris visible from the outside, unlike the rest of the organ, which "hides" under the vulva. It is covered by a skin casing called the client of the clitoris (just like the male foreskin that covers the glans of the penis) and is particularly sensitive, thanks to a rich network of vases and sensitive nerve endings within it. Finally, the clitoris increases slightly with volume in a state of sexual arousal, in fact it is the only body dedicated only to pleasure!
• the urethral meatus, that is, the orfizio from which we expel urine and from which the so -called squirt comes out.
The vaginal orifice; or the entry of the vagina.

What parts is the vagina composed and how is it done?
Imita: it is a membrane of connective tissue similar to one ring, which varies significantly from one woman to another in size and thickness and is generally "broken" during the first sexual relationship, but it can also happen by doing sports or following local trauma.
The vaginal fornice It is an internal part of the vagina, located in the deepest part and completely surrounds the dome that forms the neck of the uterus.

In short, Vulva and Vagina are two completely different worlds, but at the same time relating to create our beautiful and intimate genitalia.

To characterize our real beauty that is unique, different for each of us.
Talking about how Fattə, rediscovering our body in its beauty, can remove doubts, remove stereotypes and taboos that have trained and still form around the vagine and vulve, giving new and true freedom to all us!
